“I had 100% failure on the left side of my body, from my little toe up to my
neck. After my stroke, I couldn’t move anything anymore. The doctors gave me a
three to four percent chance of ever walking again. Willpower, combined with
treatment in a European rehabilitation centre, eventually got me back on my feet
again.” It’s no wonder that Richard Homburg wanted to see this kind of
rehabilitation centre in Canada too. And so it happened, thanks to a generous
donation of five million dollars to Saint Mary’s University in Halifax.
Homburg Charity Foundation
In addition to successful, professional real estate management, Homburg has
also decided to take on social responsibilities by contributing to charitable
causes at home and abroad. De Homburg Charity Foundation was founded in 1995 and
provides financial support for initiatives promoting education, health, and
sports. Applications for aid should be submitted in writing to the board via the
form below with detailed background information on the organization and an
extensive account of the objectives. Every six months, grant applications are
reviewed in a closed meeting. Click on the link below for some of the good
causes supported by the Homburg Charity Foundation.
