The project is a planned hillside residential development situated on one of
the highest points in the Uzupis district near the Vilnius Old Town. The top
floors of the building will offer views to the church steeples of Old Town. The
building will employ an innovative and ecologically friendly geothermal heating
system.
Development Project
We are in the final stages to obtain a building permit for an apartment
building with a mix of 21 one and two bedroom units. Every apartment will have a
fireplace and terrace or balcony and three apartments will enjoy the use of
small private backyards. The building will consist of three floors with two
floors of underground parking for 24 cars.
Additionally, the ground floor has three commercial premises designed for
small business. The total residential/commercial space 1385,27 square meters.
The building has been specifically designed in an innovative and modern
manner providing ecological and cost efficient heating.
Surroundings
Uzupis is traditionally the bohemian area of Vilnius which is now becoming
gentrified. It is popular among artists and sometimes compared to Montmartre in
Paris. Uzupis is home to many galleries, cafes, restaurants and artist
workshops.
The building is surrounded by private houses and small apartment buildings.
The area is well-served by roads and public transport with several schools
nearby.
Vilnius is the capital of Lithuania. The city is located in the southeast of
the Baltic country at the confluence of the Neris and VilnelÄ— rivers. In 2007,
Vilnius had 542,785 inhabitants. The capital has an historic Old Town which is a
UNESCO World Heritage Site and which houses Vilnius University, one of the
oldest universities in Europe.
